The Happiest Place on Earth - Beach Vibes Pt.2

After our fill of Tecate and tacos we crashed real hard after a long day. We woke up early the following day and after convincing my cousin to call out of work for the day we were on our way to the happiest place on earth. Disney-fucking-land. We only had one day to spend here cause we wanted at least two full days to do stuff in LA. As I'm writing this I realized that I've been in Cali for three days already and we haven't been to a beach yet so I'm thinking I jumped the gun on the whole Beach Vibes theme but it's too late for that now.

My first time back in this magical place and it seemed much bigger than I remember. The first time I went to Disneyland the California Adventure area was still under construction. I remember seeing Grizzly Peak off in the distance thinking how I wanted to go there so badly. Kid me knew what was up. We splurged and got the park hopper which was worth it for Cars Land alone. I'm kind of a pussy when it comes to rides so I bailed on the coaster and Tower of Terror cause I ain't bout that life.

Park design is on point. Felt like I was in Radiator Springs IRL.

While my cousins and girlfriend were on the big coaster we made a turkey leg run. Unfortunately I was double-fisting the whole time so I didn't catch any good photos of them but I'll tell you straight up that it's one of the best foods you could probably get here. After some food we made our way to the other side of the other park. Got our photos taken in front of the castle and even made a Starbucks run because we can't let go of the Seattle in us.

My other cousin met up with us and snuck in some McDonald's (god bless her) and we snacked on that throughout the day cause park food is costly as hell. We made our way to Tomorrow Land(?) or maybe Star Wars Land now? I forget but it was a ton of fun although I was bummed the Space Mountain ride kept breaking down throughout the day. I was able to conquer my fear of riding the Matterhorn cause I definitely remember being terrified of this when I was younger. It wasn't so bad but damn if this ain't one of the most uncomfortable rides ever.

This was probably one of the funnest days we had and it was great to spend time with my family that I hardly get to see. We did the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribean and I even got to go on the Indiana Jones ride which was shut down for repairs the first time I went. After a long day of waiting in lines and walking around this massive park we were spent but we stuck around for the Paint the Night Parade cause that's what you're supposed to do according to everyone else. I was a little whatevs about the Parade but when we were curbside for the whole thing it's quite the spectacle to behold. I took a boomerang of pretty much everything that passed by cause everything just looked so damn cool! I won't post them all but I'll share the ones I thought were best.

Once the parade wrapped up we headed home but we made a pitstop at a lil place called In-N-Out. For being my fourth or fifth trip to Cali this was actually my first time going there. It was about time I got to see what all the hype was about. I ended up ordering a double double with onion and animal style fries. We didn't eat there cause it was already 1AM at this point and we were quickly losing steam. With that being said the fries weren't as good as I imagine they'd be if they were fresh. The burger however, was insane. Just a really tasty classic burger. extra juicy, cheesy and beefy. I was confused when they asked me to add onion but I'm glad I said yes cause I think it added a whole new texture to it. 10/10 would eat everyday for the rest of my life if it was acceptable. After our meal we hit the sack for the night and were getting excited for our LA/Santa Monica portion of our trip.

I promise the next post will feature beaches and maybe even some food pics. I apologize for the misleading titles.
